February 22-24: Orem 800 North Ramps Closed Two Nights
As early as the nights of Feb. 22 and 23, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to close the northbound off-ramps and the southbound on-ramps at Orem 800 North for storm drain installation. Drivers connecting to Provo Canyon from northbound I-15 can use University Avenue (exit 263) or Orem Center Street as alternate routes.
February 22-24: Orem 1600 North Closed Two Nights
The nights of Feb. 22 and 23, from 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to close Orem 1600 North to east-west travel while they place girders on the new sections of the 1600 North bridge. Drivers can use 800 North or Lindon 200 South as an alternate east-west route.
February 22-24: Provo Center Street and Ramps Closed Two Nights
As early as the nights of Feb. 22 and 23, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to set girders for the new northbound I-15 bridge over Provo Center Street. Please use University Parkway or University Avenue as an alternate during this activity. The following restrictions will be in place nightly: a) The northbound I-15 on-ramp will be closed to eastbound Provo traffic, b) The southbound I-15 on-ramp will be closed to westbound Provo traffic, c) Center Street will be closed to east-west traffic, d) The northbound off-ramp will be closed for drivers heading west from I-15. All traffic exiting from northbound I-15 will be diverted to eastbound Center Street. Motorists needing to access west Provo can use 900 West to 600 South as an alternate.
February 25: Provo 820 North Closed During the Day
Feb. 25, construction crews are scheduled to close 820 North in Provo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for retaining wall construction. Drivers can use Provo Center Street to Geneva Road for east-west travel.

- Southbound I-15 traffic shift at Lehi Main Street: As early as Feb. 23, the travel lanes on southbound I-15 between Lehi Main Street and American Fork Main Street will be shifted to the center of the freeway for concrete work and sign and drain installation. Please use caution when driving through the area.
- Southbound I-15 lane splits in American Fork: As early as March 4, the travel lanes on southbound I-15 between American Fork 500 East and Lindon 200 South will be divided to accommodate concrete work. Drivers will need to stay in the right two lanes in order to use the American Fork 500 East and Pleasant Grove Boulevard exits. When approaching this traffic configuration, please avoid last-second decisions by planning ahead. The lane split will be in place for up to 30 days.
- Northbound I-15 traffic shift at Proctor Lane: As early as Feb. 22, the travel lanes on northbound I-15 between Proctor Lane and American Fork 500 East will be shifted to the center of the freeway for concrete work, sign and drain installation. Please use caution when driving through the area.
- American Fork 300 West and 100 East bridge work: Bridge work continues at American Fork 300 West and 100 East. Drivers should expect periodic lane closures at each location. Flaggers will be posted to direct traffic through these construction areas.
- American Fork 500 East interchange work: Construction work continues at the American Fork 500 East interchange as crews install concrete barrier, sidewalk and landscaping. One lane in each direction will remain open until construction is complete this spring.

- Orem 1600 North closure for girder placement: The nights of Feb. 22 and 23, from 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to close Orem 1600 North to east-west travel while they place girders on the new sections of the 1600 North bridge. Drivers can use 800 North or Lindon 200 South as an alternate east-west route.
- Orem 1600 North full closure for gas line installation: Feb. 28, from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Orem 1600 North is scheduled to close to all east-west traffic from Lindon Parkway to 1200 West while crews from Questar install a new gas line in the area. Drivers can use Lindon Parkway or Geneva Road to Lindon 200 South as alternate routes.
- Orem 800 North ramp closures for drainage work: Tonight and tomorrow, Feb. 17 and 18, from 10 p.m. Friday until 7:30 a.m. Saturday and from 10 p.m. Saturday until 11:30 a.m. Sunday, construction crews are scheduled to close the northbound off-ramp and the southbound on-ramp at Orem 800 North for storm drain installation. Drivers connecting to Provo Canyon from northbound I-15 can use University Avenue (exit 263) or Orem Center Street as alternate routes.
- Orem 1200 West lane restriping: Feb. 18, from midnight to 5 a.m., construction crews ware scheduled to restripe the lane markings along 1200 West from 100 North to 100 South. This activity should cause only minimal impacts to traffic.
- Sandhill Road lane restrictions: As early as Feb. 21, construction crews will close lanes at the intersection of Sandhill Road and University Parkway. Drivers will be restricted to one through lane northbound and southbound at the intersection. These restrictions will be in place through mid-March. Drivers can use the intersection of 400 West and University Parkway as an alternate north-south route.
- Orem 1600 North interchange reconstruction: Crews are operating heavy equipment near the Orem 1600 North interchange. Please drive with caution.
- Orem 1600 North road widening: Crews are rebuilding the north half of Orem 1600 North from I-15 to Geneva Road. Access to area businesses will be maintained.
- Lindon 500 West closed: Through March, the access road behind Home Depot and Les Schwab is closed at Orem 1600 North while crews reconstruct the north side of 1600 North. Flaggers will allow delivery vehicles to enter.
- Orem 800 North utility work and widening: Crews are working on the south side of Orem 800 North, between the I-15 interchange and 1500 West. At the interchange, crews are installing storm drain pipe. The center turn lane will remain closed until installation is complete.
- Orem 400 North and Center Street bridge construction: Crews are working on retaining walls and bridge abutments. Drivers should use caution when driving through these areas.
- Orem 400 South closure for girder placement: Bridge beams are in place and crew will begin building the bridge deck. Please use caution as crews are working heavy equipment in the area.
- University Parkway at Sandhill Road: Traffic has been shifted to the north side of University Parkway east of Sandhill Road while crews construct a new pedestrian crossing under University Parkway. In this new traffic configuration, only one left turn lane from westbound University Parkway to southbound Sandhill Road will remain open. This configuration will remain in place through the spring.
- University Parkway pedestrian access restrictions: The sidewalks along University Parkway between 600 West and the Sandhill Road intersection are closed while crews build the new pedestrian crossing under University Parkway. Pedestrians will need to use 400 West to 1200 North to access UVU or 400 West to 1430 South to access area businesses. Signs will be posted to guide pedestrians. These closures will remain in place through summer 2012.

- Provo 820 North closure: Feb. 25, construction crews are scheduled to close 820 North in Provo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for retaining wall construction. Drivers can use Provo Center Street to Geneva Road for east-west travel.
- Provo Center Street closures: As early as the nights of Feb. 22 and 23, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to set girders for the new northbound I-15 bridge over Provo Center Street. The following restrictions will be in place nightly. Please use University Parkway or University Avenue as an alternate during this activity.
- The northbound I-15 on-ramp will be closed to eastbound Provo traffic.
- The southbound I-15 on-ramp will be closed to westbound Provo traffic.
- Center Street will be closed to east-west traffic.
- The northbound off-ramp will be closed for drivers heading west from I-15. All traffic exiting from northbound I-15 will be diverted to eastbound Center Street. Motorists needing to access west Provo can use 900 West to 600 South as an alternate.
- Provo Center Street flagging: The nights of Feb. 24 and 25, flagging operations will take place on Provo Center Street. Short, intermittent delays can be expected.
- Provo Center Street closure for sign construction: The night of March 8, westbound Provo Center Street and the northbound off-ramp to west Provo are scheduled to close between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for overhead sign installation. Drivers can use 820 North or 600 South as alternate routes to the west side of Center Street or to connect to northbound or southbound I-15.
- Provo Center Street ramp closures: The night of March 9, crews are scheduled to close the southbound on- and off-ramps between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for overhead sign installation. Drivers can use University Parkway or University Avenue as an alternate route.
- Flagging at Independence Avenue near Provo Center Street: Through early March, demolition of the old northbound on-ramp bridge and Provo Center Street viaduct continues. Area businesses are open, and flaggers will be in place to control traffic in the area. There will be no access between Independence Avenue and Center Street in either direction during this time. Motorists can access Independence Avenue from 900 West to 500 North or from 820 North. A new intersection will be constructed in the spring to improve mobility in this area.

- Phase Two of area reconstruction underway: Reconstruction of the west side of I-15 is underway from north Provo to University Parkway. Nighttime activities include asphalt removal, materials hauling, drainage installation, pile driving and wall construction. Crews are working six days a week, 24 hours a day. Area residents should also expect an increase in nighttime construction noise.
- Provo River Trail: Through the summer, the Provo River Trail under I-15 is closed. For safety, use the detour route.
- Pedestrian access at bridge crossings: For safety during the construction work, pedestrian access is limited near and under bridges throughout the project corridor. Pedestrians and motorists should also expect one-way traffic or temporary closures at these locations. Flaggers will direct traffic.

- Provo 600 South closure: The nights of Feb. 28 and 29, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., construction crews are scheduled to close Provo 600 South at I-15 as they set girders on the new bridge overhead. Motorists may use Provo Center Street and 920 South as alternate routes during this time. Daytime flagging operations with intermittent short-term delays are expected in early March as crews set deck panels on the bridge.
- Provo 920 South closure: As early as mid-March, construction crews are scheduled to close Provo 920 South at I-15 as they set girders on the new bridge overhead. Motorists may use Provo Center Street and 600 South as alternate routes during this time. Daytime flagging operations with intermittent short-term delays will follow in mid-March as crews set deck panels on the bridge.
- Provo 500 West bridge construction: The last bridge beam has been placed at 500 West; however, construction work will continue through the summer. Please note, this area is a construction zone and is not open to pedestrian or motorized traffic. For your safety, please use the sidewalks at 600 South or 920 South as alternate pedestrian routes until the undercrossing is officially opened in the fall. Underpass Rendering
- University Avenue northbound off-ramp closure: As early as the night of Feb. 29, the off-ramp from northbound I-15 to University Avenue is scheduled to close from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. while construction crews move barrier and switch the ramp into a new configuration. During this time, please use the Provo Center Street and Springville 1400 North exits as alternates.
- Provo 600 South and 920 South bridge construction: Through March, ongoing nighttime work and daytime bridge construction will occur at Provo 600 South and 920 South while crews reconstruct the new bridges and retaining walls. Area residents should expect additional light, noise and vibration associated with this work both night and day.
- I-15 construction between Provo Center Street and University Avenue: Reconstruction of the east side of I-15 is underway. Nighttime activities include asphalt removal, materials hauling, drainage installation and retaining and sound wall construction. Crews are working six days a week, 24 hours a day. Area residents should also expect an increase in nighttime construction noise.

- Spanish Fork Main Street closure: As early as March 9-12, from 9 p.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Monday, crews are scheduled to close Main Street under I-15 from the northbound on- and off-ramps to 1400 North for storm drain installation. The southbound on- and off-ramps will also be closed. Drivers will need to use the following alternate routes.
- To connect from southbound I-15 to Main Street: Use U.S. Highway 6 to 1000 North.
- To connect to southbound I-15 from Main Street or U.S. 6: Use Main Street to 8000 South (state Route 164) to the Benjamin interchange or use northbound I-15 to the Springville 400 South interchange.
- Main Street detour: Use 900 South to 300 West to 1600 North.
- Changes to the U.S. 6 interchange in Spanish Fork: Drivers using the U.S. 6 interchange will see additional changes to traffic configurations. These are linked to changes being made to improve traffic flow at the interchange and will permanently alter how motorists access U.S. 6 and I-15 in Spanish Fork. Interchange Navigation Video
- U.S. 6/Spanish Fork Main Street permanent ramp location change: Please be aware that the exit location has changed for the southbound off-ramps to Spanish Fork Main Street and U.S. 6. These two ramps are now combined. Once on the ramp, motorists traveling from southbound I-15 to U.S. 6 should use the left lane while those traveling to Spanish Fork Main Street should use the right lane. In addition to the listed activities, nighttime lane restrictions are possible from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, from 10 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Saturday, and from 10 p.m. Saturday to 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Construction schedules are subject to change due to situations such as inclement weather, construction delays, equipment issues and other emergencies.
